Birds
There are many options available to you when you are ready to acquire your birds. Shelters,
family farms, hobbyists and small hatcheries may be an appropriate choice for your situation.
NOTE: Please NEVER purchase or accept a bird or animal that has been dyed with inks or colorants (pastel Easter
chicks, bunnies, or ducklings) or an animal that has been debeaked (top portion of beak removed), UNLESS it is a rescue through an adoption program. By purchasing a mutilated animal, one encourages these harmful, cruel
and unnecessary practices. Local Hobbyists, Hatcheries, and Family Farms
